Bof
Le vrai Paris

It’s nothing to do with Unspeak (apart perhaps from the phrase “secret history”), but I have a review in this week’s TLS of a history of Paris. Incidentally, Le Vrai Paris is the name of a café in my neighbourhood where I was once made horribly sick by the béchamel in a disgusting croque monsieur. Cheese-eating surrender, indeed.
If you’re really in Paris, Stephen, say hello to my college pal, Henry Pillsbury, who’s giving a a performance of Krapp’s Last Tape from September 28 to sometime in October.
